Buff Kavelman recently served on the selection committee for the American Youth Leadership Program in Peru, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State in partnership with World Savvy. This unique cultural exchange program will bring together U.S. and Peruvian students and U.S. educators of diverse backgrounds for an examination of global food scarcity and nutrition issues. Ms. Kavelman also served on the selection committee for the same program in Bangladesh, which brought together U.S. and Bangladeshi students and U.S. educators of diverse backgrounds for an examination of global climate change issues.
